We Did It!

After many trips back and forth to the car to pack away all the pieces we brought to the event, we’re finally back home again, having had a great time at the Carlton Hotel during the Art & Wine Tour. We were joined by Lone Madrone / Bristols Cider, the winery and cidery who were pouring along side us at the hotel. There was also a talented woman named Summer who was displaying her beautiful, hand-crafted jewelry, and seemed to be very popular.

The event started off slowly, but about an hour into the evening, things started picking up, and a steady stream of people came in to taste the wine, and view the art. We had some wonderful feedback from many of the guests, and several highly enjoyable conversations with some great people. Darren was particularly pleased with the responses to “Doris the Dartmoor Pony”, which you can see on the far right of the photo below. It is an image that always makes him smile, and it was great that it had the same effect on so many people. I also had some excellent comments on my creations. Overall, it was a great night. Many thanks to Stacey, events coordinator for the Carlton Hotel, for inviting us to participate, and a big thank you to the participants in the event who made the night such a good time.

It was a first time for both of us, displaying our art, but it won’t be the last, because we both had a lot of fun. Also, Darren is already scheduled to be on the wall of Sculpterra Winery and Sculpture Garden next month. Keep an eye on our blog for updates on this, and whatever else happens to fall out of our brains onto our website.
